Glasstream Powerboats Launching New GSX Line In Miami

PUBLISHED BY SPEEDONTHEWATER.COM

Everyone at the Dothan, Ala.-based Glasstream Powerboats is excited about its all-new lineup of boats dubbed the GSX series. Beginning tomorrow, the longtime center console manufacturer is going to be showcasing three new boats at the Miami Beach Convention during the Miami International Boat Show scheduled for Wednesday through Sunday and another at the in-water display at the Venetian Marina and Yacht Club. And three of the four new boats will be GSX models.

Along with a sharp 28 PRO-XS model, Glasstream is going to have a beautiful new 32 GSX with a cabin—a forward lounge seat version is expected to be released this summer—and a new 36 GSX featuring a trio of new Mercury Marine V-10 Verado 400 engines in the convention center at booth MB1044. The in-water boat is going to be another 36 GSX, which is powered by triple Mercury Marine’s V-8 Verado 400 engines.

The new line has been a long time coming, according to Kruis Retherford, owner and president of Glasstream. While Retherford didn’t give away too much information ahead of this week’s show, she did say the GSX models feature new tooling and whole lot of fresh, modern features.

“We’re excited to showcase the next-generation GSX models in Miami,” she said. “We have a great network of dealers who are supporting the evolution of our brand.”

Bill Day of Day’s Boat Sales in Frankfort, Ky., is super eager to start selling the new GSX series and was grateful to be able to provide input for the new lineup of boats.

In addition to its new models, Glasstream recently announced that Total Marine is joining its dealer network and will soon have a variety of Glasstream models in stock at the company’s New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland locations. Teams from Day’s Boat Sales and Total Marine are expected to be at the show with the Glasstream crew.
